I'm currently a self-employed book seller. I love books and I love knowing that I'm selling something to someone that they really want. I like being my own boss. For someone to become involved in book sales you would have to really love books. It's not something that you could just do to make money. There's a lot of hard work and patience involved. You need to know sales and customer service. You would need resources for packing and shipping. You need to have the space to store your books and make sure that the books are store properly to protect the spine. You won't get rich from selling books, but it can be fun.
I answer phones doing customer service. Answering general questions and maintaining customers profiles. Its the most boring job I've ever had. If it weren't for the pay and benefits I would be gone. I still don't intend to stay very long. I do not recommend it.
I am an Avon representative and I love it. I love being my own boss and working for myself. I set my own hours and can take vacation or days off whenever I want! Selling Avon allows me to meet many new people and provide them with great products and service.
