  I'm currently a self-employed book seller. I love books and I love knowing that I'm selling something to someone that they really want. I like being my own boss. For someone to become involved in book sales you would have to really love books. It's not something that you could just do to make money. There's a lot of hard work and patience involved. You need to know sales and customer service. You would need resources for packing and shipping. You need to have the space to store your books and make sure that the books are store properly to protect the spine. You won't get rich from selling books, but it can be fun.

  I answer phones doing customer service. Answering general questions and maintaining customers profiles. Its the most boring job I've ever had. If it weren't for the pay and benefits I would be gone. I still don't intend to stay very long. I do not recommend it.

  I am an Avon representative and I love it. I love being my own boss and working for myself. I set my own hours and can take vacation or days off whenever I want! Selling Avon allows me to meet many new people and provide them with great products and service.

  I am a carsalesmen and one tip I can give is you need to be patient. Your first couple of years you will struggle a little, but if you treat your customers like people instead of a SALE then they will come back and send their freinds and family. I would only recommend this career to certain types of people. If I had to do it again I would not because you spend way to much time away from your family. I work between 60 and 70+ hours aweek and sometimes only make a couple of hunderd dollars.

  Tips: Good communication skills and understanding ability; Never be negetive to anyone including yourself; Focus your focus only on those are important and cirtical.
Yes, it is a challenging but good rewarding, easy to start.
Yes, I think it is a good job.
Positives: You can start at anytime you can, and you may get rewarding when you hit the points.
Negtives: You will get stirs accidently. All you believe may lapse in one minute.
It is not a job with high degree but high EQ, not high performance but good patient, not be demanding but persuasive.

  The wonderful thing about working in direct sales is the relationships you can build with your customers. You get to know your customers on a more personal level, because there are no middlemen between yourself and your end customers. The other bonus of this set up is higher profit margins, as you are not sharing them with any middlemen. Usually, when you are in direct sales, you don’t need to stock any product, and can work out of your home, meaning no extra overhead for location rentals. As a direct sales representative, you are self-employed, and can benefit from tac write offs for expenses. The down side of beings elf employed is that if something happens that keeps you from making your daily contact with customers, the business will completely falter. It’s not like owning a retail store where you can get sick, but trust your employees to keep the business running while you are gone. Often, coming back from an illness or some life emergency requires you to almost re-build your business from scratch, as you re-establish relationships that had gone by the wayside. However, it is very rewarding to work for yourself, make higher commissions, and make friends along the way as you build relationships with your customers.

  I am Search and Placement Consultant for the Information Technology and Engineering Industries. With the advent of the Internet being used more and more for the placement of these professionals, the market is generally willing to pay less for finding these people. In actuality, they should be paying more since the only job orders recruiters are being paid for now are the ones that employers were unable to fill through their web enabled efforts.

No, I would not recommend that anyone pursue this line of work in the future.

  I run my own web based business from home. I would encourage all to try their hand .

You must be able to control yourself enough to stay focused and strive diligently.

Pros are that I can be at home, the cons ...well, I have to work incessantly to keep up my client base.

  Business Broker: this is one of the best sales jobs I've have. I've learned tons about business and about a large variety of different industries. It was tough getting started, but was well worth the effort. 90% of the people I meet have no Idea what a business broker is, I'm always talking about what I do.

  Consider the industry you step into carefully. Once you gain experience in any one industry, you'll be much more valuable to companies selling similar products than unrelated ones. Pick an area you can be happy in, and you will succeed.

  I m an online seller. I strongly recommend this business, since you can self arrange your working hours and you can work wherever or whenever you want as long as you have your laptop and internet connection. I d do it again if i had the chance to choose again. The biggest advantage is it s flexibility which fits well into my character. I like freedom. Also i can sell items that i like. Negative sides, i have sometimes eye ache and sometimes i can have muscle aches due to immobility. People should like to search and find resources and also have a vision and catch what are demanded products in the market and catch those items.

  You should have a positive approach to life if you would like to work in a sales related job. You should convey your positive feelings to other in order to convince them. You should develop yourself day by day to cope with the latest changes in the world and the global economy.
