The stellar thing about this university is the high quality of the faculty and staff. The professors are usually over-qualified for their jobs. They take the time to really get to know their students. The classes are small and you get lots of individual attention.
If I had to do it over again, I would still choose to go to this college. I feel that I got a great education and have made life-long relationships with my professors and friends. The campus is small compared to state schools. The dorm rooms are too crowded, the cafeteria sucks, and the administration department is difficult to work with. However, the wonderful teaching I got made it all worthwhile.
About a third of the students at Washington and Lee University still receive some financial aid from interest on an endowment set up by George Washington in 1796.
