I chose South Alabama basically on a whim. I had to go to school in state, and wanted to live in a semi-city, so I ended up going with South. I studied History and Anthropology, and I thought both departments were really good. The things that I didn't like were: it was a commuter campus mostly, it was a dry campus, and there really wasn't much to do other than class on campus. If you are looking for a traditional college experience, I'd look else where.
