I had a great time at UNF. The classes are typically small, many of the professors are very helpful, and the campus is beautiful. There are plenty of clubs and organizations to join and a very involved student government. It is not a party school, however, and greek life is somewhat weak. There is little to do in the immediate area so a car (or a good friend with one) is almost necessary. The city of Jacksonville itself offers lots of movie theaters, clubs, bowling, beaches and malls. The nature trails and golf center on campus offer some unique activies for campus life.
I would recomend this college to those who would like a large campus with a small college feel. The parking is a definite con but the campus is beautiful. The professors are pretty average.
I would recommend the University, but not the education program. I would advise anyone thinking of attending to stay away from Jan Bosnik, and get involved with student organizations.
About a third of the students at Washington and Lee University still receive some financial aid from interest on an endowment set up by George Washington in 1796.
