If you want a truly liberal arts education for a reasonable price, check out the University of Dallas, a Catholic school. Class size is small, the professors are top notch and very demanding, and the student body is the smartest group of people I've ever seen in one place. It belongs near the top of the list of schools in the country, but no one seems to have ever heard of it. If you score well on your SAT's, you can get pretty good scholarships. For several masters and doctorate programs, you can get full tuition scholarships plus fellowships. The library has a collection of amazingly old and obscure book and periodicals. Learning a classical language is a must, something schools just don't seem to offer anymore. UD has recently started offering an undergraduate business program that will give you an education like no other school. If you want to learn how to learn and not just get a piece of paper, this is the place for you.
About 200,000 words have been added to the English language since the time of Shakespeare.
