Simmons is an all-women's college in Boston. It has a small college atmosphere, in that classes are small and professors, rather than teaching assistants, do the actual teaching. The professors are of very high quality. The professors are interested in education and they are very available to students for help.
The curriculum is challenging, but you do not find a cut-throat atmosphere.
There is a small residential campus a long block away from the academic buildings.It is right near Fenway Park. You have all of Boston as your "campus", and most students do take advantage of this.
The only negative about it is that, as a small college, you might not always be able to get into a class you want. However, if you are a little assertive, the profs will usually let you in. They want to help.
I would definitely go there again. It built up my confidence from zero to excellent.
