I can not whole heartily recommend this college unless your major is Communications/Radio because they have a geat radio station. In the four yeas I attended I only found four teachers who actually seemed like they enjoyed their jobs and cared about the kids. all the others were horrible, read straight from the text books with meaningless tests over and over.
If I had to do it again I would go to a beautiful place like California or Colorado where the education is just as good if not better and there is an outdoor life and a downtown. South Orange does not have a great downtown area and it can be very dangerous at night right next door in good 'ol Newark. The pros, they have a great Radio Station, basketball team and it is very close to NYC. The cons, the teachers are average, no outdoor activities, no downtown, the dorms are gross and the campus is small. If you can get to a different school..Do it!
40 years ago, women used to score 50 points lower on the Math portion of the SAT than on the Verbal. Today, their Math and Verbal scores are nearly identical on average.
