I simply love going to marquette. Both the school and the city are amazing! the friends i have made here are the best and i have learned more than i thought would be possible. the only negative that i see is that some of the classes are very big lecture hall style classes: a freshman bio class can be aroung 250 people.
Students should not feel that they cannot afford Marquette. I didn't think that I would be able to attend but was offered enough financial aid to get there. I highly recommend Marquette to students who want to have a well-rounded college experience. At Marquette you can be involved in the larger community through service projects, experience a big city environment (Milwaukee), participate in various faith-based organizations, all on a mid-sized campus. The education I received prepared me well for my career. Some people don't like being in the city but I loved it. I would definitely go to Marquette again!
I have absolutely no regrets about attending Marquette University. The classes were challenging but not impossible. The faculty is approachable and down to earth (not all but most). I really feel that I learned a lot about myself while at Marquette. I also met a lot of new friends (including my wife) all of which I still keep in touch with. The alumni association has helped me find a job and allows me to still keep in touch with people I graduated with. I would highly recommend this university.
Iowa State was the first coeducational public university in the US.
