I loved going to Kendall College of Art and Design! The classes were small so you could get to know your prof's, and they were always eager to help you, or give you extra help if needed. They offer help with finding housing or a roommate, and they have great art programs in many different areas.
Kendall is located in Grand Rapids, MI and despite the cold winters there, I loved the atmosphere! They have an area called "East Town" with a lot of cute coffee shops and bars, this is a good place to hang out and listen to music, etc. Definitely check out the place called "Yesterdog" - the best loaded hot dogs anywhere!
About a third of the students at Washington and Lee University still receive some financial aid from interest on an endowment set up by George Washington in 1796.
