I absolutely loved my college. The teachers were dedicated and available. The setting can not be beat for beauty or culture. Being part of a five-college consortium (includes Amherst, UMASS, Mt. Holyoke, and Smith) made research a delight. Of course, there were also numerous activities going on all the time on all the campuses.
In 1970, the percentage of college freshmen who considered themselves "liberal" was twice that of "conservative". Today, the percentages are nearly equal.
