As a high school student I do not think I understood enough about Biola and their politics and policies when I made the decision to attend. Though college is supposed to be a place for the open exchange of ideas, the atmosphere at Biola was one of intolerance, closed-mindedness, and blind allegiance to the political agenda of the republican party. It was not the Christian liberal arts education I thought I was getting into. With that said however, some of the staff and students are great and I loved the psychology program, but given the chance again, I probably would not have chosen to go to Biola.
In the last 20 years, the number of students enrolled in college who are at least 35 years old has doubled.
