Beloit is a small liberal arts school in Southern WI. The setting is nice because there are no "big city" distractions. The school ranks very highly academically and has a good image in the right fields (science, anthropology, social science, politics). The party scene is a little lacking, but there is enough of a social environment to have a good time.
Network is very strong. Professors are involved in your overall success, not just getting a good grade in their class.
Founded in 1851, Cooper Union was the first college to prohibit discrimination on the basis of race or religion in its charter.
