Prepare to be extremely self-motivated if you come here. Bard isn't competitive, per-se, but there is a very rigorous academic program, and all graduates are expected to produce a significant senior thesis. If you can't handle that, this isn't the place for you.
Bard is extremely liberal, and students shoudl be prepared for this. There is a very heavy drug scene, but there are also near-teetotalers. You will be able to find a group to fit in.
I would come back here in a heartbeat. I've never met more committed, dedicated professors in my life, and my classmates are absolutely brilliant. My classmates are passionately committed to their schoolwork, as am I to mine. If you don;'t love what you're planning to do in college, don't come here. |
