I enjoyed going to UWEC. It has a beautiful campus. The music department is very good, which is why I chose to go there. The ensembles and teachers are excellent. There is a lot of work students need to do that is unrelated to their field of interest, but that is probably the case in most schools.
I would recommend this college, I have learned a lot and it is just a nice place to go to school. If I had to chose again I would go to college at University of Wisconsin Eau Claire again. The pros are individual teacher attention, smaller class sizes and a beautiful campus. The cons are the town is smallish and its a different sort of culture than I am used to. Eau Claire has a great business program (if you haven't heard) and there very well respected in the midwest.
I enjoyed this college. The town is nice, nice shopping and eating places. It doesn't have the prestige of Madison though, but does have the same access to great resources.
In 1970, the percentage of college freshmen who considered themselves "liberal" was twice that of "conservative". Today, the percentages are nearly equal.
