I felt like the school of education at this university is the proverbial chicken with its head cut off. Nobody listens to each other, the dean of the school will fill your head with happy stories if you are strugging; and the worst of it is they will tell you that you will have little problem finding a job. When they told me, they said that they were one of the best schools and getting hired won't be a problem. Now it's November and I've been out of work for months. It's not worth the money that you will pay out the nose for the education.
I received a Bachelor's in business from UPS. I enjoyed all of my business related classes and professors, especially former professor (now Mayor of Tacoma) Bill Baarsma. Because this school is a liberal arts college, I was able to get exposure to all sorts of subjects (not just those related to my major). Some of my favorite classes were totally unrelated to my final major (statistics, psychology, physics and anatomy). I would advise that new entraints take a variety of subjects and explore the options that a liberal arts college has to offer. I did not live on campus, but if I had to do it over again, I would. I think I would have had a much more immersed and intense freshman year if I had. The campus is beautiful and the services that are available to students are wonderful. The library is wonderful and the student union building is a great place to relax and unwind.
