Overall I'm very disapointed with this school. I've had several horrible teachers that do little more than pass grades back. When I ask questions on assignments they either ignore me or offer very little information, making it very difficult to complete the assignment correctly. Other instructors have been just downright rude, unhelpful, and discouraging. The college also increased the cost of classes and ebooks. They now charge 65 dollars for books that typically cost only 5 dollars used. When I asked if I could just purchase the book myself I was told that all students, no matter if they use the online book or not are charged for it. Most universities are interested in saving the students money and helping them with their education, this one is just about making money. They could care less about their students.
The online college experience was a rewarding one. It fit perfectly with my lifestyle and my hectic work and personal schedule. I would highly recommend it to anyone who needs to work full time and wants the luxury of logging on to do their coursework and convenient times for them. The workload is very demanding, so those that think this is an easy way to a college degree will be in for a surprise. Having gone to both online and traditional colleges, I can say the workload for the online degree was more than that of the traditional classroom. The main difference was that traditional classes had mid-terms and exams, while a majority of the online classes consisted of numerous papers.
