Great place to learn and feel nurtured in as an intellectual. Make friendships that would last a lifetime. Warm and nurturing, yet still very challenging environment. A bit dry on the social scene, great alumni network, great place to be.
Stanford is an amazing place. If your looking for a beautiful campus you found it. Spanish style buildings and palm trees are everywhere. The classes are great and are usually very small and interactive. I would highly recommend this college to anyone who can get it.
I went to Stanford University. I had a GREAT time at this university. I had some of the best professors of my entire education. They really cared about what I thought and the projects I took up. The Stanford campus is beautiful, and the dorms are decent. There are some really great shops and coffee houses nearby. One tip of advice; make sure you choose a major you REALLY like, because this university really focuses on your major, and helps you understand beyond detailed. After going through Stanford, I would still choose Stanford, and I recommend it to anyone looking for a great college.
It's a good school with a lot of resources available to students. I would go back to this school. One thing to keep in mind is that Palo Alto is a small town and it's very expensive to live off campus. Almost everyone stays on campus almost all the time which creates a bubble like feeling. Also, the introductory classes are not taught by the best professors.
Stanford is a great university with top notch programs. Class sizes can become quite small once you choose a major, especially liberal arts majors. The campus is beautiful and you can either walk or bike to your classes. The school is expensive and unless you have a scholarship or have wealthy parents it will bite, but they do have a great financial aid office. The school values diversityso if you have some unique quality either talent or background make sure you write about it.
