Pepperdine is a great college. They really do a lot to keep the best-of-the-best as faculty. The teachers are (with few, but notable, exceptions) willing to help even outside regular school/office hours. The downside is the expense, of course, but if you're going to end up with mondo student loans anyway, might as well go someplace that makes it worth it. The one thing to realize is that the social life gets VERY cliqueish... not saying the students are unfriendly, but unless you're used to being around groups of rich kids, it'll be frustrating for a while.
Chancellors at the College of William and Mary have included some very famous retired statesmen, including Margaret Thatcher (UK Prime Minister), Henry Kissinger (US Secretary of State), Warren E. Burger (US Chief Justice), and, currently, Sandra Day O'Connor (US Associate Justice).
