  I love the atmosphere at Ohio University. The architecture and landscaping of the campus is gorgeous. OU has almost any major you could wantn. Because of its size OU has incredible opportunities ranging from Fencing to Study Abroad. I think the only con about a university this big is the party scene, it can get pretty noisy on Friday nights.

  Small town atmosphere is great. You don't have to worry that much about walking home late at night or getting the "freshman 15" due to all the hills and walking you must do once you arrive. Athens is a great place to kick back and relax. Party hard on the weekends and study hard during the week is the student moto. If I had to do it all over again, I would still choose Ohio University. I would recommend this college.

This is the second most expensive public university in the state of Ohio (our rival Miami of Ohio is first). Our volleyball team is nationally ranked and are very good. The pros of going to Ohio University are the small town atmosphere, the safety and security, parties, and smaller class sizes in major classes. Cons are general classes can be very large, we get out later then most schools for summer break, dorms are small, stricter alcohol policy then past years, meal plan isn't that great and it's expensive.

  OU is the best University on Earth. The location is beautiful, faculty are experienced, professional and caring. Fun atmosphere, and by the time you leave, you won't believe 4 years has gone by.

  This is a great university, located at Athens, OH 45701. The city is indeed an university-city of about 20000 people, the university has about 25,000 students: 18,000 at the main campus in Athens, and 7,000 in regional campuses. This is the third biggest university in Ohio (after Ohio State Univ, and Kent State Univ). The university is ranked in the top 120 public universities in the US. It has a lot of strong majors, for example its Southeast Asia study is ranked 6th in the nation. I would strongly recommend this university, I would still choose this university if I had to do over again.

  Students entering this college must be well prepared for the college level coursework expected of them. I would recommend this college for anyone interested in education in the arts and journalism. Yes, I would still attend this college. Ohio University's pros would be it's diverse atmosphere and friendly staff and its cons would be the lack of funding in its science department. The campus is easy to navigate and the dorm food is not at all particularly good.

  Unconditionally recommend OU. Great town, great campus, great profs. Administration can be a little disrespectful, but they have done a lot for the school as well. Some of the best times of my life were in Athens.

  I loved my time there. It is a beautiful campus in Southeastern Ohio. I have a BA in History from there and I enjoyed all of my classes and instructors. Plus it is a great party school!

  I loved OU! The faculty actually teach classes and seem to care about their students. The party life was amazing, which is why I took so long to get my degree. I would do it again in a heartbeat.

  Attedning Ohio University in Athens, Ohio was one of the best experiences of my life. Not only did I receive a well-rounded education, I made lifetime friends, met my husband, and had a wonderful social life.

The main reasons I'd recommend the school are as follows: 1. it is a live in campus (meaning most people do not commute) 2: it has a small town feel, 3: there is lots to do - sporting events, night life, club activities, sororities and fraternities, band, newspaper, and intellectual based clubs; 4: an excellent education.

I was a double major in math and finance. Not only did I get business classes, but was required to take foreign language, science, humanities classes. This general knowledge has helped me greatly in my carrer and in my life.

I met my husband of 11 years there, and continue to socialize with many of the people I met there. OU is great!!

  Ohio University's main campus is located in the picturesque hills of southeastern Ohio and is visually stunning, particularly in the Autumn when leaves begin to change color. While it is a sizeable public university, the campus is still able to maintain the comfortable feeling of a small town in the heartland of the United States. The surrounding town of Athens reinforces this feeling with its Victorian architecture and brick streets.

However, its relative distance from larger communities can lead to a sense of isolation. Visiting a large shopping complex, elegant restaurant or trendy nightclub often requires a trip in excess of an hour to visit the nearest cities of Columbus or Cincinnati.

Combating this isolation is the vibrant community of the university itself. On nearly any day of the week, Ohio University hosts cultural, intellectual and simply "fun" events open to both the student body and local community. With only a small amount of research, students are able to discover countless opportunities for these types of events.
