I would definitely recommend Moravian College to potential college students. Moravian is a small liberal-arts college with a wide range of degree programs. The teaching staff and administrative staff are wonderful- always helpful and knowledgeable. The campus is small and scenic and is located near the heart of Bethlehem- walking distance to Musikfest. Moravian offers great teaching, music, and seminary programs but all liberal arts degrees are available. The only draw-back is the cost of tuition. Because it is a private college, Moravian is pricier than state colleges.
I highly recommend Moravian College, especially for life-long learners, formerly known as "non-traditional students."
Faculty and Administration are very willing to do whatever it takes for students to reach their goals. Utilizing the Independent Study Option, non-traditional students can complete degree requirements in a program not included in major options. This, of course, depends on the dedication, determination, and ability of the student as well.
Situated in the Lehigh Valley, students are afforded the opportunity to enjoy the niceties of small town life while being able to enjoy many of the niceties of large town/city living. Cost of living is relatively low.
Moravian offers a wide variety of programs and extra-curricular activities.
That department chair positions are rotated means that course offerings are always fresh and many of the pitfalls of power politics are sidestepped while fostering a spirit of collegiality.
Moravian College provides not only the opportunity, but the possibity for all students. traditional or non-traditional, to meet their educational objectives.
