LSU Shreveport is an incredibly difficult school. Several students who have attended LSUS in addition to LSU Baton Rouge say that LSUS is, in fact, more challenging. Students who attend are sure to receive a first class education with some seriously passionate professors.
However, if students are looking for a traditional college experience, LSUS is probably not the way to go. Shreveport is not a large town like Baton Rouge and a large portion of the students at LSUS are in their thirties or forties. There is virtually no campus life, very few dormitories, no parties, and only a handful of activities held on campus throughout the school year.
In short, LSUS is a great college for students who are all business about their educations. But it is not the place for a typical college environment.
About a third of the students at Washington and Lee University still receive some financial aid from interest on an endowment set up by George Washington in 1796.
