The students here had the biggest impact on my decision to attend Harvard. Before I visited the campus for its April Visiting Weekend, I wasn’t sure if Harvard would be the right school for me. But after attending events that were held on campus and interacting with the students, I felt comfortable and confident that I could be here for the next four years.
I love it here! I have so much fun yet I'm able to focus on my academics. There are always events on campus for students to be involved in and so many clubs for people to join. You are sure to find something to do. Also, most of the professors are very helpful and all the ones I have had have been modern and humorous. A small bit of advice: keep a copy of all records. Administration at Howard can be very unorganized so it's up to the student to keep records. Also, be mindful that it is an open campus in Washington DC. Stay in well lit areas and try to travel in groups at night.
40 years ago, women used to score 50 points lower on the Math portion of the SAT than on the Verbal. Today, their Math and Verbal scores are nearly identical on average.
