  Fordham University is an excellent school. If you're interested in being near NYC but don't want to live there, then Fordham is a great alternative. You can live on the Rose Hill campus in the Bronx, and still take classes at their Lincoln Center campus in Manhattan. I am very happy I chose Fordham University. Class sizes were small, and professors offered long offices hours. The food isn't so great (but college food never is!) Although it's not known as a party school, Fordham offers lots of activities on campus, such as evening laser tag, velcro wall jumping, etc, and even boasts a pub and bar (for those 21 yrs and older.) Attending Fordham University was one of the best experiences of my life thus far.

  I attended Fordham University School of Law. This law school is an unbelieveably friendly place, and while it is a rigorous environment, people are not too aggressive. The professors are top-notch. If you go to Fordham, a tip would be to enter the evening program and just take the 4-5 classes in that year, and then get high grades and get onto law review without taking Constitutional Law. You can study more and do better among peers who are working full time. If I had to do it again, I would go to Fordham. The pros are that you can get into any BigLaw firm; however, you generally have to hit top 20% of the class. Also, if you are planning on practicing outside of NY, it has less reach than a more national school.

  If considering Fordahm make sure you are a serious student. The classes are challenging and their are a lot of required core classes. Most of the students are Catholic but there is some diversity among the students in race. I highly reccommend this college as a place where you will really grow as a person and be well prepared for the real world. I would definitly go to this college again becuase it was the best four years of my life. Some pros are caring faculty, beautiful grounds and challenging classes. Some cons are it is in a really bad neighborhood and some students are unhappy becuase they went to Fordham becuase they didn't get into NYU. People should know that Jesuits are great educators and surprisingly very liberal. They are not simply old fashioned priests. Some of the best teachers are Jesuits. Also Fordahm has a great business school where students get top interships and jobs.

  Fordham University provided me with a solid liberal arts foundation, which I thought was critical to being somewhat educated in the areas of Philosophy, Science, Writing and Composition, Social Sciences, and History. With that foundation of knowledge, I decided on a career, and opted for a M.B.A. at Fordham University; the combination of being reasonably educated through the liberal arts program, and then majoring in Finance/Accounting on the Master's level, provided the tools and skills, that I needed to succeed in the Wall Street community. Accordingly, I began my career on Wall Street as a Operations Manager, and ended my career as the CFO of one of the largest banks in the world. Yes, hard work, team spirit, and dedication was important, but in reviewing my career, I would attribute the power of creative thinking, and actualizing your ideas into solid business strategies, that were the key elements to my success. Fordham University provided the teachers, and course of study, that initiated my creativity, and desire to understand our complex world ; I studied very hard at Fordham University, just to gain every ounce of knowledge, for knowledge is indeed the power to change things for the better.
