Departments at the Boca campus include the Christine E. Lynn College of Nursing, The Dorothy F. Schmidt, Charles E. Schmidt
College of Science, College of Arts & Letters, College of Engineering, College of Education, College of Business, and College
Of Architecture, Urban and Public Affairs. The Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College opened at the John D. MacArthur Campus in 1999.
FAU also runs the Seatech Institute for Ocean and Systems Engineering in Port St. Lucie.In 2004, The College of Science opened a medical school in conjunction with the University of Miami. Medical students spend the first two years of their education at the Boca Raton
campus, transferring down the Miami for rotations and receiving their degree from UM. Boca Raton Community Hospital is
considering a move to the campus as of 2004. Other degrees offered at the Graduate level include M.B.A, M.S.,
Ed., Ph.D. and others.FAU also runs continuing education programs, including audit options for seniors over 65 years of age.
