I would definitely choose to go to BSC again. The only cons I can really think of are the overly-Greek atmosphere, but that did not really bother me (though it might other people). Academically BSC is outstanding, but most important is the general sense you get from the faculty that they are genuinely concerned with your well-being, both academic and overall, a sentiment you do not always get from large schools.
Birmingham Southern is a great school for teaching purposes due to small class sizes and a faculty that cares. The only drawback is that at times the school can feel small because you need a car if you want a break from campus (1500 students). There are plenty of fun things to within 10-15 minutes.
If you aren't planning on going greek, you have to make sure to get involved in other groups on campus even though most parties are open. Sorority life at BSC is actually pretty tame and doesn't really fit the stereotype (this coming from an independent). The school offers great opportunities for service in the community surrounding the school.
