Coastal Carolina Community College (CCCC) is a very good community college. CCCC was a very small community college and has grown into a large community college. The staff is very helpful, the teachers are wonderful and the library is well equipped. CCCC offers degree programs, continuing education and distance learning courses. They also have tennis courts and a baseball field on campus. One of the cons I have experienced with CCCC is the lack of information (or wrong information) on their website. I recommend calling or going to the school for important information instead of relying on their website. They have re-done their website and a lot of the problems have been fixed but I still have come across some inaccurate information. Something a lot of people may not know about CCCC is that they are going through the steps to become a 4 year university. They have expanded the school and the plans are in the works to build dorms in the coming years. At CCCC senior citizens (65 and older) are not charged for tuition or registration fees except for self support courses.
3.75% of the U.S. federal budget is spent on education. More than 20% is spent on national defense.
