This is a good school to go to if you want to get all of your general education courses out of the way for cheaper before transferring to a 4 year school. Or it's great if you want to enter their RN or LPN programs, surprisingly the nurses that graduate from this school get better scores on the NCLEX than any other college in the state. I loved the RN program. The pros are that most of the general education courses are easy, and it's wicked cheap tuition. The cons are that the main campus is in a kind of bad area of town, but they have a Shelby campus which is a lot nicer. I recommend this school to most people, especially ones wanting to go to a very competitive RN program.
About a third of the students at Washington and Lee University still receive some financial aid from interest on an endowment set up by George Washington in 1796.
