I would highly not recommend anyone attend the Veterinary Technology program at this campus. The hands on experience is absolutely atrocious. Even in classes where this is a must, like anesthesia, there really is no hands on experience. In anesthesia class we touched an anesthesia machine two or three times the entire semester. We also practiced IV catheters and placing endotracheal tubes on stuffed animals. We often practiced doing things on stuffed animals rather than doing them on live animals. Which of course is completely ridiculous. There were only three classes at this school where I would have rated the hands on experience as good. The rest are just absolutely horrible. You can talk and read about something all you want in my opinion, but if you do not actually do these things, than what is the point? I have entered a new vet tech program, and I can honestly say I have had more hands on here in one semester than I did at three at Front Range. I strongly recommend steering clear from this program. I regret everyday the time and money that I wasted here.
