I loved going to Del Mar. Of the three colleges I have attended, Del Mar was my favorite. The class selection is good for a community college, and general education requirement classes were offered at various times, making it easier to work out a schedule. Nearly every professor I had was approachable and willing to do whatever they could to help their students succeed, as well as just being generally friendly. There is a decent selection of extra-curricular activities and groups to get involved in. The only problem I encountered while at Del Mar was the parking, there are not nearly enough parking spaces for the number of students attending during the day.
In 1970, the percentage of college freshmen who considered themselves "liberal" was twice that of "conservative". Today, the percentages are nearly equal.
