There is nothing quite like the community college experience. I found my time at Clackamas Community College to be rewarding and valuable. The instructors there are passionate and knowledgeable about their subjects, and you just can't beat the price of an education at a community college compared to a four-year university. Most students spend their first couple of years exploring different areas of interest anyway, so one may as well spend those years in a supportive environment like CCC. At Clackamas, I didn't feel like a cog in an academic machine. I felt like I was part of a community.
In 1970, the percentage of college freshmen who considered themselves "liberal" was twice that of "conservative". Today, the percentages are nearly equal.
