The positive of my job is that I can work from anywhere. Because I don't directly deal with clients, I do not have to be tied down to an office. The negative is everyone and his brother thinks they should be a website administrator or a web designer. If someone can make their own personal website, they think they know the trade. Business owners who have made a site from a preloaded template of their own think they know what their is to know, so often will not hire a webdesigner, forcing the person who is updating their site to work with less than ideal resources.
Intranet Site Coordinator
Being an internet site coordinator requires a balance of technical and imterpersonal skills. A lot of time is spent training and helping users with their own web sites. These users can range from software engineers to accountants who have never created web pages before. A lot of patience and a certain amount of friendliness is required to do this job. I would choose this career if I had to do it all over. It's create working with people. Cons of this career can can occur when there are big issues where a lot of users are affected such as server downtime.
