I am an installer for a local cable company. I go to homes and businesses and provide them with phone, television, and internet access. For those considering a job like this, just remember the weather is not always nice, and people always want their cable NOW.
I would definitely recommend this job, it is never boring, and you get to meet many interesting people. I would choose this job again if I were given the oppurtunity. No deskjob for me.
My tip would be to be ready for almost any and everything to go wrong depending on your co-workers. This job is very demanding and mentally challeging. In a good way. Your job is different everyday. Never a dull moment.
