  A career in Real Estate can be very rewarding or very frustrating. When the market is good and people are buying homes you can have a great time, but when the market is slow as it is now there can be problems. It is a very good feeling to know that the young couple who are looking for a home find one that fits their needs and you found that home for them. Or when a person is in trouble and needs to sell and you help them find a buyer. You have to have a tough skin to be a realtor to handle the problems that can come up in a sale. I would recommend being a realtor to the right person only because I enjoy what I do. As of now there isn't another job I would do.

  SALES IS A VERY GOOD CAREER .YOU HAVE INTERACTION WITH LOTS OF PEOPLE AND YOU TRY VARIOU SALES SRATEGIES TO SELL YOUR PRODUCTS.SOMETIMES YOU ARE SUCESSFUL SOMETIMES YOU ARE NOT.

  Before deciding to be a stay-home-mom, I spent over eight years in multiple positions in the real estate field. Initially, as a receptionist, then as a closing coordinator, followed by manager of secretarial staff and before leaving I was assistant to one of the largest producing agent couples. Real Estate is a phenomenal field to get into. There can be so many pros! However, the pros come with years of experience. You might be told that you get to set your own schedule. Not true, initially. When you haven't had a closing and you get a call in the middle of a dinner party that a client wants to view a property, write an offer or list their home, you will stop everything you are doing and need to rush right over. The hours depend soley on your clients! Once successful, that can change, you can hire assistants and choose to have time periods of unavailabilty. The greatest thing I found about working in real estate is that no two days are alike. Different homes, different people, different experiances. You are not tied to a desk, you travel to homes and meet clients. You really are doing a service to your clients and when you are at the closing and are able to hand your seller a closing check or that first-time buyer the keys to their home, you will know that there isn't much out there better.

  I love my real estate career. It allows me to work with people on an every day basis helping them find their dream home. Real Estate is great for people who love to be around people. It's really easy to get into. This is not an easy career to be successful in. It takes a lot of work and dedication.

  If you want to be a realtor be prepared to not make money for awhile. Some do better than others at this career. You have to stay ontop of transactions and be able to negotiate with people well. There is a lot of training that goes into this career. You do not just make money because you get the license; there is work to do after getting your license, and money to be spent on things you need. I would recommend this career, but it can wear you out. If you like a steady and ontime paycheck this may not be the career for you. I would not choose this carrer if I had the chance to do it all over again, even though I made good money at this. The pros are good money if you are good at this. The cons are you can get worn out and some people are just not good at pushing themselves or they feel lost once they get a license. Sometimes customers think you should be available anytime they have time. The public does not think of you first when they call you late at night or on Sundays or too early in the morning and want you to drop everything to show them a house, etc.

  With very little training and no college necessary, a career in multi-family (apartments) leasing can be fun and lucrative. A bubbly and outgoing personality with a true desire to please is the most essential step in starting a career in this industry. the pay is good considering you didn't have to spend money for an education. A go-getter attitude pays off quickly in leasing and retention bonuses. The draw backs are obvious- residents that expect everything for nothing. After 17 years in the business, first as a leasing consultant and now a supervisor, I would recommend this career path to anyone with the right personality and a drive to succeed.

  Sales is a great career. In sales you can be as successful as you want to be. If you put the hard work into it you can make a lot of money. Yet if you aren't good at it or you have a bad month you won't make any money. I would go into this business again.
