Your job details usually are to carry out doctors orders, provide care for your residents and/or patients. Such as taking vital signs, applying lotion and skin medications, filling out reports, and providing information about the patient(s) for the doctors.
This job has great opportunities as a career choice, as there are many certifications, and health care is needed everywhere. As long as there is a hospital, nursing home, etc, there will be jobs for you.
The downfalls of this job include the possibilities of contracting diseases, cleaning up incontinent patients (inability to control urine or feces), and is quite stressful at times.
