Working as a massage therapist is a very rewarding career. Choose a good school and try several work situations after you receive your license. Continuing education is very important; not only will you improve valuable skills, you will also receive bodywork and be reinspired.
I have tattooing now for 16 years and it always gets more interesting. When I first began slinging ink, it wasn't taught to every Tom, Dick, and Harry. You had to prove yourself with hard work, an open mind, and a love for the work. Now days you can watch what I do on cable TV, on two different channels. There used to be a mystery
to tattooing. If you want to know the who"s who, you had to take your self to a convention and shop around. I love my craft.
I work as a tarot reader (cartomancer) and reiki and seichem healer. It's a line of work that can be emotionally draining at times, but it is also very fulfilling.
I trained with a master healer to achieve reiki master and seichem master myself over the period of a few years. It can be done faster, but it's important to gain lots of practical experience, rather than just rushing through the stages without ever having done any healings on clients.
As far as the tarot goes, I'm mainly self-trained and just have years of experience to bring to it.
Starting my own business has been an interesting experience. Certainly if you're going to enter this field then you need either lots of friends/contacts or to be prepared to put a lot of time and effort into building a reputation for yourself. No matter how much money you spend on advertising, word of mouth will ALWAYS be the best and I get most of my clients now through personal recommendation from others who've come to me.
People with higher education levels are more likely to become entrepreneurs.
