I'm from Sudbury, Ontario and it's probably the biggest mining city in Canada. The Mining Engineer program, and jobs for that field are great here in the city. I mainly do research for the mines (testing air quality), and I find it a very rewarding job. You are almost at the front lines, and you're making for a safer work environment for almost everyone who has to do mining. I believe working with the mining industry is great, as it's sort of a close-knit community. I enjoy coming to work everyday!
