If considering a career as a psychologist, one should be prepared to stay in school for some time. The average grad program is six years. However, there are lots of options for work after you complete your degree. One of the biggest things to consider though is the amount of debt you incur. It is NOT a good idea to go to a progrma where you will be saddled with a lot fo debt, as the jobs in the field, even at the doctoral level or in private practice, do not pay mega-bucks. The trade off is that you egt to help people, work hours you set (if in private practice) and have a lot of control over the quality of your life. I would definitely go into psychology again.
