Being an electricians helper can be a very dangerous career choice. Before deciding to take the on any career path involving electrical work I highly recommend that you take some time and look over OSHA’s website. Specifically the sections pertaining to arc blast and electrocutions. If you decide this is a path you would like to try find a trade school or look for an employer that will allow you to apprentice with them. That way you can learn proper wiring procedures and the National Electrical Code. Learning the electrical trade is very rewarding and one of the more intellectual trades in construction. It involves problem solving and basic mathematical calculations.
