I am a Bill Collector. If your looking to get into this field, it is very simple - apply. Most collection agencies have constant turnover and are looking for new people all the time. I recommend this career if you:
1. Can stay focused for 8 full hours per day 2. Are completly money motivated 3. Do not mind working in a call center 4. Can work a flexible shift 5. Can quickly establish a connection to people who will not want to talk to you
If I could do it over I probably would not choose this line of work. It can be very lucrative, but many agencies do not adhere to the laws and some agencies do not treat their employees very well.
The greatest thing about being a bill collector is that once you are skilled at doing this job, it can be extremely lucrative with monthly bonuses over $5000. The worst thing about being a bill collector are the debtors you talk to - you have to have a very thick skin because they can and will verbally abuse you.
Most people do not think highly of bill collectors, but we preform a needed service to many companies who are grateful for an increase in their bottom line. Working with and for our clients is very rewarding.
In any financial business you must be very customer oriented. The customer is the key to being successful. If the customer is unhappy it is easy enough for them to take their business elsewhere. Word of mouth from happy customers can increase business.
Financial businesses change very rapidly and you must be flexible in order to keep up with those changes. Laws and regulations make up a bulk of these changes. It does make the field very exciting to work in.
The financial world is an excellent career choice and is expanding and changing to meet or exceed the needs of today.
I would definitely still enter this field as it is diverse and exciting. It has so many different aspects that allow for a range of opportunities.
The endless possibilities and potential growth is by far the biggest pro in this industry. Sometimes keeping up with the rapid change can be it's biggest con.
One think everyone should know is that your attitude means everything. Tone of voice to wording to your body language all make a difference. A foul mood can escalate and make your day that much worse. Likewise an escalated mood can make your day phenomenal.
I am an administrative and financial specialist. This is a very dynamic field. This is a very interesting field for people who love numbers. Here you get a chance to play around with numbers in different way. These days companies recruit financial specialist to run their MIS(Management Information System). I would recommend this career to anyone who likes a bit of accounting and finance. It is a very lucrative field where the pay off is also very good.
You are required to join a good institute and get a degree in finance to get an in depth knowledge about business and finance.
Personally i really like to play around with numbers and this is a perfect career for me. IF i would have to do over again i would still choose to go into this career.
