My uncle does this for his career and he is very successful. I love the lifestyle that he has and how its low stress when its good season. This job is seasonal, so there are times when there are bad months and very good months. But once one gets the hang of it, it is an awesome career.
The best advice I can give would be that although the college education is necessary it isnt as important as the experience in the field. The experience is a lot more respected among the subordinant staff than the degree. I would really recommend this career. Yes I would do it all over again. Pro's are that you are your own boss. Con's are minimal.
I would choose to go into this career because of the organization of it all. With numbers, there is a very clear cut side to everything, and always a way to go back and find out where a problem originally came from. I find that finances are very satisfying, because you are able to see the big picture of any company.
