Very intersting work, you get to go to a lot of varied locations. The work is sometimes dirty (you have to occasionaly sample cesspools, but generaly not hard. You also get to be outside, whcih can be a bit difficult in poor weather.
As you press, your time in the field diminshes, because you spend more time writing reports and interacting with clients.
The field is genraly quite laid back and a generaly relaxed atmosphere.
