You'll probably wind up at a tiny SLAC in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by nothing. But you went to school to get degrees that don't guarantee you any other kind of work-- so it's a good thing that you're doing what you love.
Do not enter this field unless you have an undying love for music. With government cuts in this field, it has become nearly impossible to function without adding a high percentage of your own salary to create an effective learning environment. If your love for music and teaching is so strong that you can emotionally survive with little to no appreciation and even less financial support, then you will find a great deal of satisfaction working with students in their discovery of their inner-strengths and musical talents. Otherwise, I would suggest finding another occupation.
