People considering this major should have some working knowledge in programming. An ideal course for anyone who wishes to move from technical side to a a managerial side in the software field.
Pros:
- Makes you knowledgeable about the latest technical buzzwords, technologies and skills in industry
Con: Unless you choose to specialise in one particular area, you end up being jack of all skills but master of none. |

I wouls surely recommend this major because this ia evergreen subject. If I have to do it over again, I will still choose accounts as it is vey interesting and there are many oppurtunities for the students who are majors in accounts. As for pro and cons I would suggest hard work can overshadow any drawbacks. Nothing pays like hardwork |

Accounting and Business / Management:
Earning a major in Accounting and Business Administration was one of the smartest things I have done. I used my education to pass the CPA exam and am now a highly-paid employee of a large bank. Although I do not specifically use my accounting degree in the type of work that I do, the knowledge comes in handy in other areas of my job and personal life. I am also a "go-to" person for individuals in my line of work who have accounting and other related questions. Having a background in accounting has helped me to understand my personal financial situation and better prepare myself for future financial goals. I would definitely recommend this major for others, as the need for accountants and business-minded individuals will always exist. |

I feel that doing a major in HR is a very good option especially for students who like dealing with people.If they are interested in recruitment management,compensation management,training and employee benefit this is the best line.They should be genuinely interested in people.They can either join a heavy industry where their are lot of people skilled as well as unskilled or totally skilled industry like IT.Both will have totally different HR practices.With unskilled labour one has to deal with trade unions ,employee motivation etc.With skilled labour one has to deal with employee feedback,retention strategies
Yes I recommend this as the best career option.If I had to do it over again I would choose this as major
Positives of doing major in this is that the subject is very interesting.One will deal with real life examples and case studies so their will be no point of boredom.
Negative of doing major in this subject is that at times one might feel that there are more jobs in field of Marketing,IT and Finance as compared to HR so one might feel demotivated as compared to other field the ratio of HR is comparitively less in organisation.But at the same time their worth is more. |

Administrative Assistant and Secretarial Science, General:
If you wanna get into this career make sure that the program has a co-op, also try going for medical or legal administration after the basic office. It gives you more experience and credit. I would recommend studying this because it gives you basic computer skills, accounting skills and dealing with people. Yes I would choose this as my major but I would consider going to University for this major after I went to college first. The pros of having a degree in this major is there are a lot of jobs out there after you are done and there is more to study in this field when you are done. Some of the cons about choosing this major is sometimes it is hard to get a job right away because so many people pick this field and sometimes its not enough experience out in the real world. |

I would recommend this major if you are unsure about your future. There is always a high demand for qualified (and even unqualified) accountants. Pros - Very useful degree for getting any job. Cons - Work will make you question the meaning of your existence. I would recommend this major to those who will have to be consistent bread winners for the rest of their lives. I would still do this major again if I had the choice. |

I would recommend this major for anyone who is unsure of what career path they would like to follow. The business management major is such a broad major that covers a vast array of the aspects of business that it is beneficial to just about any career choice. If I had to choose a major to study again I would have to choose a different major, not because of any negative experiences I had with this major, but because I am more clear on the career path I would like to follow. If I were still unsure of my career choice, I would definitely choose this major again. As stated above, one of the pros of majoring in busniness management is that it covers a wide range of basic business topics, which can be applied to just about any field. However, the fact that business management is such a broad major can be one of its cons as well. This major may not touch on all or any of the major subjects that may be needed to enter certain career fields. For example, if you decide to go into a career in law, your business management classes probably have not covered the various aspects of the law, which is information that is necessary to know when entering into this field. In conclusion, as stated before, I would recommend business management as a major for anyone who is unsure of the career field they will be entering, as well as for anyone who is going into a business-type job setting. |

If you do not earn a Master's in an accounting program you cannot take the CPA exam, so I find that it is a very valuble degree to obtain. It is not a degree for someone that is lazy or does not enjoy math. |

I would say that a finance degree is one that must be learned both inside and out of the classroom, you must have a great understanding of how the industry works for your classroom teachings to really have a great effect on how things work.
This major is not only great since it opens up many doors for you to explore, however it is very vital to have good sound financial knowledge for your own personal use. Personal finances are just as important as knowing how to make money, it's useless unless you can manage it properly. |
