My major was interactive media design and would not change a thing about my career path. It is a great field. Be prepared to take what you learn from school, and use that as a building block for what you WILL learn on your own out in the real world, in your own time.
I would recommend studying Graphic Design if you enjoy being creative and designing various things. I would still choose this as a major if I had to do it again. The pros of having a degree in this major is that you get to be creative and create different things for different projects so you are not always doing the exact same thing every day every week. The cons of this major is that you will not be able to please all your clients. Your clients may not always pick what you feel is the best design. Your work is always up for criticism good or bad. Also, if considering this as a major, I would keep in mind that it can be expensive to study. You may need various software programs such as Adobe Photoshop. The programs are not cheap. It will also cost you to get items printed.
This is a great major for a very creative and motivated person. You have to be the top of your class to succeed and find work. Textiles are a growing industry and learning the marketing/management side of of things will take you far. This is the kind of major that can take you down several roads in the future.
