Architecture (BArch, BA / BS, MArch, MA / MS, PhD):
Please really think about if you're willing to spend the night at school for a week straight in order to get a project done. You really have to be committed to this major in order for it to be worth it. One pro, however, is that this degree helps you learn how to manage your time and priortize. It has also opened up the doors to many opportunies, career-wise. |

Architecture (BArch, BA / BS, MArch, MA / MS, PhD):
Anyone considering this major has to be ready to work very hard. People tend to see architecture as a glorified profession that makes tons of money, but in reality, we work very long hours and don't get paid much until later in the career. That aside though, it is a very rewarding profession if you are dedicated and really enjoy what you do. |

Architecture (BArch, BA / BS, MArch, MA / MS, PhD):
Graet as an academic pursuit. People are intrigued by my having an architecture degree, but beware as professions go it is rather low paying and has high liability. If you're serious about this field and you want to practice as an architect, I'd strongly recommend a double degree, say real estate development and architecture. This way you can financially benefit from your work |
