Who are everyone's favorite bands? I like Coldplay, U2, Dave Matthews, Counting Crows, and various others.

The Strokes. And Fu Manchu. Wilco's got a pretty good record called Yankee Hotel Foxtrot.

I'm fickle... it changes all the time for me. Currently, I'm really into Tom Vek, Go Team!, The Duke Spirit, Magic Numbers, Death Cab for Cutie, Doves, and The Beach Boys.

also, Jason... if you like the Strokes, you should check out Bloc Party... probably the best album of the year, in my opinion.

I recently heard bloc party and was a bit disappointed. They're a lot like many of the cookie-cutter 80's bands that are coming out. In their better moments, they sound like English Beat, but the voice isn't as cool as what's his name in the Strokes.

Broken Social Scene are great. But, I don't get everyone's love of Wilco. Their last album got such great reviews, but I thought it was incredibly boring. You might also want to check out M83... kinda like Broken Social Scene, but French. I'm particularly a fan of the "boom bip" dance remix of "Don't save us from the flames".

In the history of Rock'n'Roll one band stands head and shoulders above all others.
For sheer passion, excitement, commitment and musical innovation it can only be......................The Clash!
