My weirdest job was as an "Olfactometry panellist". What is that? It was for a company who had to test air pollution, so they had a group of 10 people, we'd sit in a room, weren't allowed to wear perfume or eat anything spicy, to not have any smells on us.
One by one, we get called into another room to sniff 2 samples of air and tell the technician which one smells different, unusual. Then we go back to the 1st room, next person gets called in, and so on.
It was a strange job, but the best in terms of lazing around and nothing nothing half the time! (while waiting to be called in again) |

| "Olfactometry panellist"! I love that title. One of the best job euphemisms I've heard! |

It is a strang name for it, indeed! Lol
When I first read about it in the paper, I thought "What in the world is this?!" But it was pretty good to be paid to do not much at all... crosswords, etc, lol. |

| Probably working at a jewelry store...I mean, it wasn't really strange, it was just completely different than what I'm actually interested in. I always told people and they're always so shocked to find out how much I know about diamonds after working there! |

I once worked on a horse farm shoveling manure for $50/day......too bad I didn't realize that I was working from 5am-7pm.....definitely not worth the wage! _________________ chooseoutdoorkitchens.com, steven barbarich |
