If you want a career in teaching, this is the school. The administration can be a pain to deal with, especially with all the new changes in where to go and get information that you might need. That's changing, as the staff are being sent to classes to learn the new stuff. If you need a mall, or fast access to something more than Wal-Mart, Western probably isn't for you. Our nearest mall is 45 minutes away. If you love the outdoors, fishing, hiking, mountain biking, or other outdoor pursuits, this is your school. We have a student run rental program for about any kind of equipment you could need call Base Camp Cullowhee. Overall, a nice school, your professors generally care and have relevant experience from the working world that can help you more than some of the courses that you'll take here.
