I have never been in an atmosphere of so many individuals and staff that clearly maintain the goal of helping their students succeed. I love my instructors, the campus and the many resources available for the overall academic success, career development, and physical and mental health of the students. The fact is that this university is one of the safest in the nation and the safest in the State of Texas. This adds to my ‘piece of mind’ when I can attend class and trust that my children are across campus, safely attending and learning at the day care facility. Our President Dr. Patrick O’Brien clearly makes his decisions based on the progression of the campus and the benefit of WT students, in general. I recommend this school to everyone considering doing big things with their lives and want to pave the way in a less threatening and intimidating, yet appropriately challenging way. Each semester that goes by, I notice a positive change and appreciation in my own views, and my place in the community as well as the world we live in. Attending West Texas A & M has showed me that my goals are absolutely achievable and obtaining an education within these walls, I can aspire to go places I never thought that I could.
